'One Straw' is back!
So... this weekend we were at the Neurum Creek Folk Festival for the return of 'One Straw', the folk band that Will was/is in. It has been over 20 years since they last played together when they used to play at folk festivals all over the east of Australia. We were able to catch up with friends we have not seen in ages and in the end it all went well despite the fact that Will and Annie at the back couldn't hear each other or themselves and couldn't tell if they were in tune or not. The sound mixing was a bit off especially for those at the front but the sound was better at the back. It was the first time I had seen them play together and a joy to see how well they all get on and gel together. They are all such lovely people and we had a 'hoot'. Now hopefully we can look forward to more get togethers and performances.
