So.........I was back at the P.A this morning to see Dr Fanning. It was an early morning appointment which meant I had to battle the rush hour traffic to get there on time but I was slightly early.Walking in I almost bumped into a guy wearing dark glasses and an battered akubra hat......I think it was Crocodile Dundee, but he had let himself go a bit.I sat where I could see where Dr Fanning would come out and call for me but I was called from behind first by a young Indian man.....I think he said his name was Mossop or Mossad."We have to do a few breathing tests first."He measured my height and weighed me and led me into a room and pointed to a chair for me to sit in.I had to breathe into a mouthpiece a few times.Mossop was quite particular.....my first try was too slow and the second not long enough."How about you listen to me and wait until I tell you to stop blowing?" He said pointedly. The next attempts were fine. I then had some ventolin and had to wait 5 minutes before I did it all again."Ah, you saved the best till last" said Mossop, finally pleased.Back in the waiting room, Crocodile Dundee was sat in the seat I had. I sat behind him but not long after he moved to sit behind me and said in passing,"Croikey! Oim gitting a stiff nick siiting there." He was referring to having to look rather steeply upwards to watch morning TV.Dr Fanning's door opened and he stepped out and called my name."How are you?" I asked walking in and thought it sounded more like I was the consultant.I can report he was good."Well, it's good news," he said, "the lesion has not grown but it has not shrunk either. So we need to monitor it further. I think we will have you back for another scan in 6 months. Normally with these things we keep an eye on it for two years afterwards.""Well , I was expecting that," I said."Ok, well see you in November, " he said, and that was that.
