Storm.

After a very hot morning a storm suddenly came in this afternoon. The sky darkened very quickly and we went out to see it approach. We could see white clouds being sucked up from nearer the ground and the dark clouds above were swirling round visibly. It looked like it might turn into a tornado.

A sudden wind arrived and we saw lightning flashing at the edge of the storm. We went in and shut the doors and the rain started.

The raindrops were huge but it only rained heavily for about 5 minutes and then it stopped. A young Currawong came and sheltered, on the railing of the front verandah, from the rain.
