Yikes!

So...today I encountered the biggest snake I have ever seen since being here in Australia. It was a massive brown snake over 2 metres long at least heading towards our shed. I tried to deter it from going into the shed with all its many hiding places but ended up just making matters worse and it slithered at speed towards Frogknot and disappeared into the bin store at the back door of Frogknot. It makes you feel very wary knowing such a big snake is around and about.

A decade!

So...Monday 9th October 2023 marked ten years since I moved and Will returned to Australia....ten years!!! It also means 10 years of Possum Galore!

Such terrible news that the 'Sycamore Gap' tree on Hadrian's Wall has been felled by some idiot with a chainsaw.

Why?

I was last there in 2019 with Lewis and Nathan.

So...for the last few weeks we have been revamping the old chook pen. We added lime and water to the dirt floor and paddled it into mud which we then levelled and covered with a couple of coats of linseed oil when it had hardened. This new hard floor will make the pen easier to clean out. It has also been whitewashed again. Behold, Chookingham Palace...
