Such terrible news that the 'Sycamore Gap' tree on Hadrian's Wall has been felled by some idiot with a chainsaw.

Chookingham Palace.
So...for the last few weeks we have been revamping the old chook pen. We added lime and water to the dirt floor and paddled it into mud which we then levelled and covered with a couple of coats of linseed oil when it had hardened. This new hard floor will make the pen easier to clean out. It has also been whitewashed again. Behold, Chookingham Palace...
Breaking Ground.
So...yesterday we finally made a start on the new bedroom extension to Blue Moon. We dug 12 holes and cemented in 12 steel stirrups for the first half of the extension.
