A life ‘Down Under’!
Collared Sparrowhawk.
So... for the last week or so we have seen and heard a new avian visitor. We couldn't identify it for a while, but it turns out it is a Collared Sparrowhawk. We think it might be a breeding couple and their fledgling.

A weekend at home.
So... we have had Tessa up with us this weekend. Yesterday we went for a swim in Girraween National Park, near to Doctor Robert's Waterhole.
A weekend away.
So... last weekend we were away in NSW. We stayed down by the river and on Saturday went to see the touring Archibald Prize exhibition down at Grafton Art Gallery. We were lucky to catch a talk by the winning artist, Blak Douglas and the subject of his portrait, Karla Dickens. On Sunday we went to the beach for a swim and a wander in glorious weather.
Petrichor at last!
So...after weeks of hot, dry weather tonight we have had a little rain. The smell of the damp earth was wonderful.
