Staying ‘Up Over’ for a while.
Brisbane weekend.
So...we were in Brisbane this last weekend. We went down on Friday and went to see 'Botanica' a series of light installations by artists in the Botanical gardens by the river on Friday evening. We were disappointed and did not enjoy the crowds, though we knew we would not be there on our own.
The main reason we were there was to celebrate Ros's birthday on Saturday night at a dinner party on her back deck which I decorated with fairy lights. The food was Italian and the evening and company was just perfect.
On Sunday we spent a lovely few hours with Andrew and his Mum, Con before heading back home again.
Here we go again!
So...the other day we had another fox attack in the late afternoon. We heard the commotion and saw the fox had grabbed Manitou by the tail. We rushed out and Will yelled loudly and the fox dropped Manitou and ran off.
Poor Manitou! His pride was hurt, most of his lovely long tail feathers were gone and he was in shock and seemed very disorientated as we herded all the chooks back into Fort Yudhisthira. He stopped crowing for a couple of days but started again this morning.
The fox trap is set again...we've caught one before...but these beasts are wily and it depends how hungry it gets and whether it dare risk going for the bait.
