Possum Galore
A life ‘Down Under’!
Stormy Weather.
So...we have had some rain over the last few weeks which adds up to around 100 mms in all. It is better than nothing but Tracy had 400 mms in the last few days and some areas of the Gold Coast Hinterland have had nearly a metre of rain! A dramatic storm rolled over us tonight and gave us 16 mms. One bolt of lightning struck so close by that the thunder clap came almost simultaneously and was so loud that Will and I both screamed and leapt out of our skins.
Improvements.
So...in the last week we have had 87 mms of rain with 58 mms in one night. The result of this means we have gone from having about 3000 litres in our tanks to now having about 12000 litres. The dam has come up about a foot too.
While I have been at the book cave Will has been busy working on the deck extension.
The upshot of having four broody hens means that we finally have 9 new chicks in the 'Chickery' with Pacha, our Arucana hen. Five of them are from her own eggs, two black and three grey chicks. The other four chicks, one black and three brown are from eggs laid by our other hens.
Today we were visited by this grumpy fellow.
