Nundubbermere Falls.

So...today we went on an adventure to Nundubbermere Falls on the edge of Sundown National Park. It is only just over 30 minutes away from Frogknot but it felt like a different world...
We need to go on more adventures. I've missed them!

'Out damn stove!'

So...today we took out the old stove from Frogknot that had started the fire last night. We had another in the shed that we had been given to put in Blue Moon but it was much too big for such a small space. It is now warming up Frogknot so that our guests can sleep cosily there tonight.
Another thing that Blue Moon is too small a place for is...trumpet practice!IMG_20200711_174959

Ups and downs at Frogknot.

So...in recent weeks I have been busy redecorating inside Frogknot, filling in cracks in the walls and completely whitewashing the interior...

…and rearranging the furniture to make our visitor accommodation more welcoming.

Last weekend Ros and Andrew were the first to visit us and enjoy the newly revamped interior. This week Deranie and Phoebe are here having arrived this morning after the Queensland border opened for the first time since March 25th. They were due to spend their first night in the newly decorated accommodation tonight but are now on the sofa bed in Blue Moon….why?

Well…sometime this evening, whilst we were up in Blue Moon, the chimney in Frogknot caught on fire, as we had lit the stove down there to make it cosy, which in turn set fire to some loose straw sticking out of a hole just behind the stove ( the only bit I had not replastered). Luckily Will discovered the flames rising up the wall, when he popped in to put more wood on the stove. It took quite some time until we were certain the fire was out and the straw in the walls was no longer smouldering.

The girls have had to relocate for the night to be on the safe side. That was a close call!
