Badger Galore
Staying ‘Up Over’ for a while.
Rhonda's gone-da! (Sorry that's a bad one.)
So...first there came Roxy and as much as I loved that Honda CR-V I hated her replacement Rhonda the Honda.A fortnight ago we had a letter telling us to immediately stop driving Rhonda as there was an issue with the airbags. It turns out that due to her age it cannot be replaced and so Honda were going to buy her back from us. We bought her for $700 but the letter said that Honda would pay us $2950 plus a $400 inconvenience fee for her. Of course I immediately thought it was some sort of con as it sounded too good to be true...but no, today she was taken away for good. Rhonda has finally gone-da!Er....we are still waiting to be paid though...
Nosy neighbour!
So...I have temporarily added a waterproof, blackout curtain to Little Miss Galore's compact and bijou penthouse apartment until I get a chance to add something more permanent and tasteful. She was trying her chances again around the roof space just before dawn but returned to the box defeated. She often peeps out just before sunset to see what we are up to before going back for forty winks. She just looks so cute with her paws gripping the entrance hole as she peers out at us. Such a nosy but lovely neighbour.

Continue to simmer until the sauce thickens, about 5-6 minutes.Stuff the zucchini boats with the burrito meat mixture, then top with shredded cheese. Return to the oven and continue to bake until cheese is bubbly about 10 more minutes. All were delicious and come highly recommended.
A big pussycat!
So...the school day had not yet started yesterday when a girl came up to me and said "Rachel wants her normal teacher today". Standing next to her was little Rachel looking very sheepish."Well, unfortunately," I said, "that is not possible because your teacher is away today and she will be away on Monday too so I am your teacher today and on Monday too, but don't worry, I'm quite nice, I am just a big pussycat..." I paused slightly, then roared "... LIKE A LION!"Little Rachel jumped out of her skin but then laughed nervously. At the end of the day as I was about to send them all home I said "So Rachel are you still feeling worried like this morning?""Yes," she said looking serious."Really?" I asked. She nodded again.I sent them off saying "Have a good weekend and see you on Monday."I was sat by the whiteboard when Rachel came up."I was joking," she said and she threw her arms around me and gave me a hug.
Still, still in the box!
So...Little Miss Galore is still sleeping during the day in the possum box. We are seeing less of her, as we no longer hear here dropping onto the roof from her old sleeping quarters, but we pop the odd treat into her box while she is resting or as a surprise when she gets home from her nocturnal activities. It is good that life has settled down into this less stressful arrangement...although I can feel a little stress coming on as tomorrow I am back in school for the first time in ages!
