Badger Galore
Staying ‘Up Over’ for a while.
Something wicked this way comes.
So...today I spotted a black snake lurking about outside the house. When I first spotted it slithered away to the safety of our tadpole haven but eventually emerged again and began to slide towards the house. Finally I decided it had come close enough and so I stood up but instead of fleeing it just froze. I waved my arms and growled, I think but it seemed determined to keep going. I threw a pair of Will's underpants at it to head it off but it was all to no avail and it disappeared under the house.I don't like not knowing where it is.
"I heard you have water."
So...look who I found wandering down the road to our dam. News travels fast-ish. I gave them a lift to the waters edge...
We have also put some of the tadpoles we rescued back into the dam. Hopefully, the reeds and water weeds will reshoot.
More rain!
So...'when will it stop raining?'...said no one from Stanthorpe ever.We have had another 47 mls today and it is still raining. That is now over 100 mls in the last two days and the forecast for tomorrow is even better than today's.After missing out on rain for so long we seem to be striking it lucky at the moment and I have not spoken to anyone, so far, who has had as much as us in the last few days.We knew it had to come eventually but it is just so wonderful that it is finally here. Our three tanks are overflowing and we can do nothing about it but at least it is going into the ground. Can't wait to see the difference it all makes.
