A Wonderful Weekend with Laurie.
So…we had a great weekend on the Gold Coast at HOTA (Home Of The Arts) to see Laurie Anderson, their first Artist in Residence. I arrived not knowing much about her and was looking forward more to the weekend away rather than her concerts but left a huge fan of this amazing woman…
On the Gold Coast.
So...we have come to the Sodom and Gomorrah of the East Coast for the weekend. We are here to see Laurie Anderson (who?) who is Artist in Residence, until Sunday, at HOTA (Home Of The Arts) here on the Gold Coast.
Tonight we attended 'Sol/Stories in the Dark'....
We sat on a velvet couch in a room lit by a huge mirror ball and listened to Coda (String Quartet) play 'Sol' and then sat in complete darkness while Laurie Anderson told stories in her inimitable way. It was captivating, magical and a little odd.
Possum Burglar Update.
So...since we set the traps to catch our burglar...it hasn't been back. We suspect it has succumbed to the rat poison it scoffed on it's first foray inside.
