Something wicked this way came!

So... this morning I found the eviscerated body of a Ringtail Possum in Roxy's shed. What kind of creature would catch a possum remove its head and entrails and then leave with the skeleton and flesh leaving the skin and fur?Happily our Ringtail that has built a nest in the shed in the rafters is still there and safe...for now.

So...after a busy week of two days at the 'Book Cave' and three in schools we are in Brisbane for a weekend of movies, markets and cultural delights. We can tick 'Deadpool 2' off our to do list having caught it on the way down. Next up, an early start in the morning for the Rocklea Markets. Oh ' Golden Calamari' how I have missed you!

Kerr-pow!

So... the school I was at today blew my socks off! Like others around here it is in the middle of nowhere so I had a preconceived idea of what it would be like...but no, I was wrong. I know that I had been booked for the Prep class but I was expecting it to be Prep to Year 2. No, I was in a single Prep class. Yesterday there was just one class at the school todays school had five classes in all.From the moment I walked in I knew it was different. There was a 'home corner' in the classroom and the teacher wanted me to set up a 'dinosaur world' in a water tray. It was so much more like the classrooms I am used to. They even had a pine forest in the grounds where they were building dens at playtime.I was very thankful that I didn't work there full time simply because the high expectations would mean lots of hard work and I am so over that but I'd happily go back for a doddle of a day, if they'd have me.They said they would.
