Staying ‘Up Over’ for a while.
Invitation to 'Schloss Adler.'
So... a few weeks ago a lady came into the 'Book Cave' and as I was scanning out her books I noticed that she lived on our lane."Hello, Neighbour!" I said. We had met briefly before as our cars met on the lane but I didn't recognise her nor she me. We got talking and swapped numbers and she said that she would be in touch sometime. Last weekend she rang and invited us for dinner tonight.
I call their house 'Schloss Adler' from the film 'Where Eagles Dare', especially from this angle with the power lines rising up like cable car wires.'Schloss Adler' from 'The Rocks' at Frogknot....

Meet the boys!
So... we have three new additions, three young roosters. We believe the one on the lower right is a son of Odin, the rooster we sent to a new home. We have named him Thor. The other two are brahma roosters and probably both for the pot. We have separated them from our hens as they were enthusiastically mating and poor Arke ended up with a bloody head. She is 'top bird' at the moment amongst the hens and guinea fowl so perhaps the boys were trying to take her down a peg or two...sorry, 'Chicken Protector' will not allow that.
Riveting stuff.
So... for the past two days we have been slowly adding the mini orb cladding to the vertical house posts. Some sections are screwed in place but we had to rivet some sections...
