Preparing the way!

So...next week we are having some very special visitors.  The road up to Frogknot is not at its best at the moment, with the recent rain carving mini canyons in it, so today we cleared a new path through to our neighbours property.  Now our visitors can avail themselves of our neighbours more vehicle friendly drive and cut through the newly cleared bush track to Frogknot. ( It will also serve as a fire break and an escape route in the event of a bush fire.)
We cleared it by hand and then our neighbour gave the route a 'scrape' with his Bobcat.Job done!

Six Wallabies Swimming and a Currawong in a Kurrajong Tree.

So...today we, again, went out to try and find some dead cypress trees for the verandah posts. We tried yesterday but got rained off.We need eight three and a half metre poles... and we found them and have carried them up or down to Blue Moon House.P1060606 (Medium)During our search in the bush we came across a tree that Will had never noticed before which he was excited to discover was a Kurrajong. While we were looking up into its lofty branches a Currawong came to rest in it.The Currawong in the Kurrajong.

We have just seen six wallabies in the dam. One swam around for a bit before climbing on the back of another and mating with it.....IN THE WATER!!!!
We drink that water....though obviously boiled first....but nevertheless, How Dare They?!
