Staying ‘Up Over’ for a while.
Giant Moth.
So...last night as we climbed the ladder to bed in Blue Moon House there was a large moth flying about. It turns out it was a Giant Wood Moth.Australia is famous for its wood moths of the genus Endoxyla in the family Cossidae. Their fame is partly because their caterpillars are the true 'witchetty grubs' of traditional Aboriginal diet, but mostly from the fact that the moths themselves are some of the largest in the world. We have lock up!
So...we have finally fitted the other door and fitted the door handles so now we can actually lock the door...not that we will probably ever use it because we never lock Frogknot...but we could lock Blue Moon House if we wanted to. What a nightmare it was to get the flippin' doors level and drilling the holes in the doors for the handles was the most nerve wracking thing we have had to do so far...still job done....only 356 more jobs to go.
All hands on Deck.
So...we have started to work on getting the deck built. Yesterday we marked out where the deck posts would go and dug the post holes.
It's Fweezing!
So...today was the coldest February day in Stanthorpe since 1961. It only got to 15 degrees centigrade. (I know, people in the UK put on T shirts when it gets to 15 degrees but I have gone soft with all the warm weather). Last week we were sweltering in above 30 degrees and were cooling off in the dam. Today we had to light the fire and put on our fleeces.
