Badger Galore
Staying ‘Up Over’ for a while.
Window pane pain.
So...we have recently been preoccupied by window frames.Awhile ago we were given a number of old window frames which we have been storing down the hill in a neighbour's shed. Now that the flooring is done we are moving onto thinking about the walls and yesterday ferried some of the windows up the hill in Sky Blue.
A film, no weddings and a funeral.
So...we are just back from an overnight visit to Brisbane. We went Tuesday afternoon and came back this evening. We saw the film 'Blade Runner 2049' pn Tuesday evening which we enjoyed very much.Today we went to Peg's funeral. Peg lived next door to Dulcie on Celtis St and Will grew up with her children. We went back to their house on Celtis St after the service. It was the first time we had been back since moving up to Frogknot. It felt very strange and No.7 still looks the same though the front garden fence has gone. We called in to see Joanne who lived next door on the other side. It was nice to see them all and catch up with them again since we left. We are very glad we went.
Welcome Ame!
So...we have a new hen...from next door.Just before I came back from Up Over, Will was looking after our neighbours hens while they were away on holiday but discovered one morning a hole in their pen and no trace of any of the hens. He suspected a fox attack. Our neighbours returned home to find one hen waiting for them huddled on their verandah...it was called Amy.Amy was reluctant to return to their chook pen and because she was now spending her days alone she has come to live with our hens.We have amended her name to Ame, (Goddess of dawn, mirth and revelry)...
A busy and eventful day at Frogknot.
So...the day started with a Bearded Dragon trying to hide from me in the garden...
