Keeping level headed.

So...today we started to add the floor joists...it was not as easy as we thought it would be and the spirit level seemed to be playing tricks on us but hopefully when we are finished the floor won't be too wonky.

The Squealing of the Rats.

So...it is 1.30 am and we have just been jolted awake by a loud squealing sound. It was a small rat caught by one of the mouse traps. It was the third rat of the night.... the first is outside still alive in the humane rat trap and will live to face another day......miles away. Rat two was killed outright by one of the new traps I bought recently. Poor little rat three was not so lucky and I had to get up and drown it.It was hard to do and I feel so bad. I'm sorry little rat but 'mi casa' is not 'su casa'.
