The Squealing of the Rats.

So...it is 1.30 am and we have just been jolted awake by a loud squealing sound. It was a small rat caught by one of the mouse traps. It was the third rat of the night.... the first is outside still alive in the humane rat trap and will live to face another day......miles away. Rat two was killed outright by one of the new traps I bought recently. Poor little rat three was not so lucky and I had to get up and drown it.It was hard to do and I feel so bad. I'm sorry little rat but 'mi casa' is not 'su casa'.

Weird weekend and beyond.

So... the weekend was not weird because of the things we did but mostly because of the way I was feeling. I have felt quite flat since my birthday.I did hear that a childhood friend died on my birthday. He was 51 and it was a shock and I think it is that that has knocked me for six a bit.Will took me for a birthday meal last Thursday evening. We went to Anna's, an Italian Restaurant in town and then had another lovely meal out on Saturday with some friends. We went for a Greek Banquet to our friend Yvette's cafe 'Feast & Farmin'...It was all utterly delicious.Andrew came to visit on Sunday and we happened to be in the right place at the right time as a Steam Train came along the track at Glen Aplin from Stanthorpe to Wallangarra...
