Sssstill around.

Ssssso...one of the good things about the cooling of the year is that all those slithering and crawling things tend to hide away from the cold. We have had a few chilly evenings of late and have closed up the windows and shut the doors in the evening and the early mornings have felt cool even under the 'doona' (Aussie for duvet).I nipped into town this morning for essentials, like chocolate, and halfway down the drive a big red-bellied black snake slithered out of the way off the road where it had been sunning itself.Yes, they are sssstill around! 

Funghi.

So...as a result of all the wet weather we have had this year, as well as a noticeable increase in the spider population, we have been inundated with Funghi everywhere.

Kiwi Fruit.

So...down in the Kiwi Fruit orchard...(there are about four trees still alive)...we have Kiwi Fruit!

Spookily, a lot of these areas are the same ones we travelled through last weekend in Sky Blue.Here are some pictures from news sites today...

The Clarence River is up at Ashby but not expected to flood badly.A woman's body was found today south of Murwillumbah.All that is left of Debbie has moved on.
