More ditches.
So...yesterday we set about digging out a ditch at the side of the house that, during the last few freakishly wet months, ran like a stream. Will thought that there was a pipe already laid there but he could not find it in his exploratory holes so we began a new trench...It was half way completed when Will discovered the original pipe trench. We merged the two, laid new pipe and and filled in the trench with gravel.Another good job done!
Possums Galore!
So...it is the middle of the night and I am still wide awake while the cheese maker sleeps ready for his 4.00 am alarm to go off. I got up for a drink and heard a rattling on the gutter outside and popped out with the torch. In the tree outside the back door four eyes glowed in the torch light...it was a possum with a little one on its back.I had heard things falling on the tin roof earlier and knew there was another in the big tree near the dam so shone my torch there too and there were another four eyes...another possum and baby on its back.We have possums galore!
