Badger Galore
Staying ‘Up Over’ for a while.
Ch-ch-changes and work in progress.
Saving the bee.
So...last night we had a bath under the stars. It was the first time we had done it for ages. It was a clear starry night and the Milky Way was amazing. We saved the water for the garden but today as I passed the bath on my way for an egg check, I saw a miserable bee drowning in the tea coloured water. I found a tissue in my pocket and held it close to the bee and it gratefully clung to it and I lifted it out onto the side. I left it on the tissue to recover and a little later noticed it had gone. I like to think it flew away with a tale to tell but most probably it ended up as a kookaburra snack. We have one that has been hanging around the chook pen and shed recently. There was a Red Necked Wallaby by the dam today who didn't seem too bothered with me wandering about outside the house. I saw two King Parrots in the garden as well ferreting about looking for seeds.A good day for wildlife.
Problems.
So...yesterday we unpacked our new washing machine and set it all up and switched it on...'DOOR OPEN' flashed a message on the control panel. We could hear the machine trying to lock the door but it kept saying'DOOR OPEN'...even though the door was locked. There was definitely a problem with the door and the machine would not start until the door locked and so we rang up about it and were passed on to a repair team who told us that they cannot come out to see us until August 2nd! ...Customer service eh?Today 'Skylord' was playing up and we could not connect to the internet. I rang up about it this morning and rather than wait had the option to get a 'callback'. I chose that option. I rang at 8.30 am and finally got my call back at 2.30 pm this afternoon."Heck!" I said, "It's a good job it was not a matter of life and death!"In the meantime it turned out that it started to work again and I was told that there had been 'issues' in the morning that had now been resolved. On top of that we heard a crash in the night and Will went to investigate and found Galore had knocked the soap dish off the shower caddy , grabbed the soap and dashed up the nearest tree to eat it.It's all been a little vexing.
Back to the cold.
So....while we were in Brisbane the temperature got up to 29 degrees...and it is Winter! We are once more home and it is 5 degrees outside. We had a great weekend away though and saw four films.... Love and Friendship, Star Trek Beyond, Ghostbusters and Finding Dory.We treated ourselves to some new things even came back with a new washing machine!Yes, I know there was nothing wrong with the one we had but this one is more water and power efficient.
