Still counting!

So...after just over a week since the voting in the Australian Federal Election closed, votes are still being counted. Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull and his Coalition Government have claimed victory and look as though they will just scrape in with the 76 seats that they need to win.Pauline 'the Xenophobe' Hanson has been voted into the Senate! Of soot, of tanks and Shogun!

So...after a few days of being smoked like herrings today Will completely overhauled the stove, cleaning it out, cobbing up the cracks and fitting a new flue pipe....so far so good. After that we settled our new water tank into its new home but it meant having to move the woodpile and wood chopping area and level the ground first. Finally we fitted together 'Shogun' our new cement mixer, no mean feat when the assembly instructions were in 'Engrish'...'Using the bolt set number 5, and the wheel of the heeling, we screw the bolt from the bottom, and from the top we put spring and stopper.''REMEMBER !! THE WEDGE BELT MUST BE STRAINED! YOU CAN DO IT GOVERNING THE MOTOR PILLAR'
These pictures make it seem like I did all the work myself...Fine, if you want to believe that.

Our two roosters are vying for the attention of the hens and it looks like Hecate and the Mu sisters might be laying soon.We are also keeping an eye on our neighbours 'chooks' while they are away on holiday and they are laying too, including their one duck.Tonight Will made a delicious duck egg custard for dessert. It was 'eggstra' special!
