Badger Galore
Staying ‘Up Over’ for a while.
Home again.
So...we are back at Frogknot after our lovely weekend away by the river. We managed to stay oblivious of the Eurovision result until we watched the replay yesterday evening. It was all very tense and looked very likely that Australia were going to win (well, Dami Im certainly sang her heart out) but we were all glad that Ukraine won as it was our favourite song.Back at Frogknot the chooks are all present and correct after being left alone for three days. They didn't say whether they had missed us but there were three eggs waiting for us in the nesting box.
In lockdown!
So...the Eurovision Song Contest Final is over but we don't know the result. The live show from Stolkholm was shown from 5.00 am this morning but we are going to watch the replay this evening so are all avoiding news websites, Facebook even messages until we watch it later. We have quarantined ourselves in the house and are shunning social contact with others. We are in lockdown.
Eurovision weekend!
So...after the cheese maker returned from being up to his elbows in curds I drove us, three and a half hours down to Ashby for a weekend of Eurovision pleasure by the river...or just more cheese of a different kind!
And then there were 13!
So...today I collected two more chickens. They are two araucanas. #I brought them home in a box and tipped them out and there was or first egg as well!Within another 15 minutes we had egg number 2!
They have already caused quite a stir amongst the other 'chooks' with Yudistira (formerly Draupadi...until it turned out 'she' was a 'he') crowing for all he was worth. Here they are..
Pacha (black) and Quilla (white).
