Badger Galore
Staying ‘Up Over’ for a while.
Moist!
I am like a lump of dough sat in a proving drawer with my clothing sticking to me like clingfilm. There is a glistening sheen all over my exposed skin and I jump occasionally thinking a spider is running down my neck but it is only a droplet of sweat that has lost its grip.....and to think I thought I was becoming acclimatised to the weather here. I was moaning about how cold it was a few months ago and now this.....I am a whinging Pom.....I don't care......it's what we do!
Hail!
I knew the storm that was coming was going to be a big one......the sky looked so ominous with a really green tinge.A neighbour down the road was out taking pictures...."It is so green" he called. Will came out to look too. We could hear the hail coming before it hit us as it bounced off tin roofs and sheds. Will got hit on the head by a large stone but I took shelter under the verandah. The hailstones were not as big as those we had last year but drawing upon a festive analogy, were about as big as a medium brussel sprout.Luckily I had put Roxy in the garage so she goes un-dinted.
The Unexpected Tasmanian.
So...... we are returned to Brisbane as we had guests for supper tonight. We had to make room for one more as Terry, Will's brother, who lives in Tasmania arrived two days early, with two hours notice.......as you do.
