Staying ‘Up Over’ for a while.
Hail!
I knew the storm that was coming was going to be a big one......the sky looked so ominous with a really green tinge.A neighbour down the road was out taking pictures...."It is so green" he called. Will came out to look too. We could hear the hail coming before it hit us as it bounced off tin roofs and sheds. Will got hit on the head by a large stone but I took shelter under the verandah. The hailstones were not as big as those we had last year but drawing upon a festive analogy, were about as big as a medium brussel sprout.Luckily I had put Roxy in the garage so she goes un-dinted.
The Unexpected Tasmanian.
So...... we are returned to Brisbane as we had guests for supper tonight. We had to make room for one more as Terry, Will's brother, who lives in Tasmania arrived two days early, with two hours notice.......as you do.
The Cricket on the Windowsill....and other scenes from Frogknot.
Of lightning, engines and fairy lights.
A Moon-lit Flit.
We are off to Frogknot tonight........Will has an 'parent's information evening' at work and when he gets back we are going. We won't be there until after midnight but it will mean that we can get two whole days there. We are taking our first load of stuff to leave up there, two suitcases of clothes, a flamingo, a peacock, a rusty old spade and 'Audrey II'.......the move has begun!
