The Blue Lagoon.

We escaped the heat today by heading off to Springfield to the newly built Orion Lagoon.Springfield is a completely new city on the outskirts of Brisbane that is being created in former bushland. We had a dip in the pool and then wandered the new and growing shopping precinct and had some lunch.This evening we were chased by a storm out to Victoria Point to see 'The Dressmaker'......a very strange new Australian film with Kate Winslet.....

We are now back in the heat of Brisbane.......but spent the morning in Sydney before catching the flight back to Brisbane in the early afternoon.Our trip to Sydney only cost us £130 each......a bargain!

Sore feet in Sydney!

So.......today we were up at 4.00 am. Will took us to the airport and we caught a flight to Sydney at 6.25 am, We arrived at 9.00 am as they are an hour ahead of us.We couldn't check into our hotel until the afternoon so had a wander........and unfortunately found some shops!While I nipped to the loo Anne found a shoe shop and bought two pairs of shoes and then on the way out of the mall we passed the shop Florsheim, which Anne had discovered in Indooroopilly and seen some nice shoes......she just had to go and look at them again and came out with them. Three pairs of new shoes before we had even checked into our hotel!We eventually found we could check in early so we did so, at 12.30, and then went off around the city again,We have walked over 26 kms today to see the sights. We went back to Circular Quay tonight for dinner and then caught the ferry over to Luna Park and then back again.We are very tired but...........we have more walking ahead of us tomorrow!We're coming Bondi!
