Staying ‘Up Over’ for a while.
Under Mount Norman.
We wanted to get out for some exercise so Will took me to Mount Norman in Giraween National Park......I would never have believed where I ended up......under Mount Norman.
Frogknot A.D...........(After Dulcie).
"What shall we do today?" I asked Will yesterday afternoon(Thursday)."I don't know what would you like to do?""I don't know but we could go up to Frogknot tomorrow," I said " for the weekend.""We could, " he said.We were sat aimlessly in the Man - Cave a little later in the day."We could go to Frogknot now," I said."We could," he said........so we did.......because we could. We were packed and off within 30 minutes. We set off at 4.00 pm in the madness of the rush hour traffic and arrived here last night about 7.00 pm. We rang our neighbour Dave to say we were on our way as we were driving up. He said there were 5 trees down over the road up, brought down by the snow. By the time we got here he had cleared them for us, such is the man. Here are some pictures of our journey up....
And the biscuits go on.....
I made some biscuits today.....the house has gone too long without them and it is not right.I just made chocolate chip cookies as those are the ones that Will likes the best using Dulcie's Mum's old worn silver spoon. They turned out really well......I think Dulcie was with me.......at one point the dough looked a bit too sticky and I decided to add a bit more flour.....it is what Dulcie would have told me to do.
Just another ordinary day....
I spent the late morning and early afternoon with the man from U.N.C.L.E and then walked from Victoria Point to Orana Point along the bayside in the glorious sunshine. On my way home I called into Britain on the Bayside at Birkdale, a British shop that was full of treasures......I went in search of Vimto and found it........though they only had 1 bottle........ and also got some chicken bisto gravy and some smoked haddock for tea.......It was meant to be for I had this morning decided that I would make kedgeree for tea and was resigned to using some other smoked fish, but lo!, there at Britain on the Bayside was the smoked haddock I needed......Spooky!
