Brooms Head and Sandon.

Brolgas.

Today I saw Brolgas, or Australian Cranes while on a walk with Tracy.They flew in noisily and landed quite close to us, danced with each other briefly and strode off in search of something to peck.

A little later on the walk I almost stepped on another snake. This time it was a red-bellied black snake and quite poisonous but It slid away before I could whip my camera out.

This afternoon we were invited over to Jim and Robyn's house for afternoon tea. Jim is Shirley's husband, Denis's brother. We spent a lovely afternoon in their company, enjoying the view from their house and delicious home-made cakes. Bliss.

Evans Head.

So.....today we went to pick up Jen from Ballina Airport as she was returning from two weeks in Canberra. We stopped off on the way at Evans Head and had a little wander on the headland and had lunch in the town. We chose to have the best squid and curly fries in the World.......I don't know about the best but they certainly were the saltiest!We picked Jen up at 3.30 pm and then headed back to Ashby.

Yamba Time.

So........today we had Morning Tea with Shirley and Denis at Peaceful Drive, lunch at the Pacific Hotel in Yamba, an afternoon walk along Pippi Beach almost to Angourie Point and dinner in the evening with Tracy's parents, Lois and John. It was another lovely day.

After a wander in town this morning we went for a bike ride this afternoon.....it nearly killed me!
